Deborah Shouse is a writer, speaker, editor, laughter facilitator, and dementia advocate who also has an MBA, but only uses it in emergencies.

Her writings have appeared in multiple high-profile publications, and her essays have been included in over 60 Chicken Soup books. For years Deborah has written about people living with dementia and their caregivers. She and her life partner Ron Zoglin are co-founders of Dementia Friendly Kansas City and Dementia Advocates Writers and Speakers.

And now, after hundreds of articles, essays, short stories, and dozens of books, Deborah has fulfilled her dream of writing a novel, the true work of her heart, which is titled “An Old Woman Walks into a Bar.”
