Sarah Manuel was born with a life-threatening genetic disorder which is the number two killer of children under the age of two years old. Although her parents were told she would not survive, Sarah surprised ever one with her surprising resilience and tenacity of spirit.
She rejected all of society’s rules and low expectations about living life in a wheelchair and continued to have dreams of a full and purpose-filled life, including falling in love, getting married, and having a child of her own someday.
Sarah shares her story with an honesty and vulnerability which inspires, motivates and gives hope at the same time. She explains that your circumstances do not have to dictate your reality, and that being different isn’t bad, it’s just different. Her passion is to help people understand that we are all born differently, and our differences are NOT mistakes.
