Sifu Rafael Gomez is an entrepreneur, Founder of Speaking Prowess, and the host of six live shows who is passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full potential. He is also the owner and instructor of Max Martial Arts & Fitness, a 10,000 ft facility in New York, where he combines his expertise in martial arts with leadership development.
Sifu Rafael shares his own personal story of having polio as a small child and losing the ability to move his legs, about wearing braces for several years, and how he was able to recover by continuously trying to strengthen his legs. Eventually, he made a complete recovery, becoming one of the fastest runners in his neighborhood.
At the age of ten, he was introduced to martial arts and trained privately with a friend and his father for six months. This fueled his passion for martial arts, movement, fitness, and lifelong learning which continues to the present day and is the foundation of his life and his business.
