Kim Rahir is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach who helps middle aged women tap into an abundant source of vitality by reactivating and maintaining muscle while eating to nourish their body and flourish with vibrant health and vitality.
Kim has her own personal story of strength and empowerment as a mother of three who was diagnosed with MS in 2013 and decided to ignore her doctor’s advice and muscle her way back to a healthy, happy life. She transformed herself from sitting in a wheelchair to lifting weights and becoming a European Champion in Masters Weightlifting in her age and weight category.
Kim describes how she was diagnosed with Gilliam Barre Syndrome, admitted to the hospital without the ability to move her legs or do anything for herself. She eloquently explains the feeling of not only helplessness, but the loss of humanity and control over her life as hospital staff moved in and out of her room at all hours.
She did make a full recovery, only to be diagnosed with MS several years later, and how she took charge of her life by building her muscle strength, joining a gym and hiring a coach, which eventually led her to fall in love with strength training and weight lifting, competing, and eventually becoming a coach to help other women find their own strength and power through physical fitness and nutrition.
Kim’s story is beyond inspiring. Her story illustrates the power of a positive mindset, proper nutrition, not accepting the labels that others place on us, it’s never too late to start a fitness journey. She also emphasizes that we can heal and recover from whatever life throws our way and come back stronger than ever.
